Welcome to our new website! We are excited to have a “home base” for all information regarding Armour Up, and are thrilled you have chosen to be a part of this ministry.

This summer we have some exciting new changes! First, we have hired a full time leader to take Armour Up to the next level. Please help us welcome Will Washington, a Highland Park native and recent OU graduate. Will grew up in the same environment as our young boys and truly understands the pressures they face. More importantly, he loves the Lord and has a passion for planting the gospel in the hearts and minds of young people in our community. Will was instrumental in starting the Christian group ‘Iron Sharpens Iron’ at Highland Park High School when he was a student, and feels blessed to return to the Park Cities to continue ministering in the place he calls home.

Secondly, we have added an online registration for your convenience. Registration is now open for summer 2014, and will continue through Friday, May 9th. Please click here to register your child. As a reminder, your son is more than welcome to register even if he can only attend one or two sessions. We highly encourage you to let him be a ‘part’ of the group even if you are gone most of the summer. The reason being is that the tween/teen years are the times our kids truly need to feel like they belong SOMEWHERE. We’d love for that to be a safe place like Armour Up. Here, everyone is included.

Thirdly, we will be implementing our new mission statement this summer. It reads, ‘Armour Up is a community based boys’ bible study that exists to bring glory to God by declaring the gospel, developing disciples of Christ, and demonstrating God’s love to others.’

Lastly, our theme this summer is ‘All In’. We will be discussing how God went ‘all-in’ for us by sending His son, and now we are to go ‘all-in’ as disciples of Christ. Our verse is Colossians 3:17, which says, ‘And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it ALL IN the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through him.” (On a side note, the 2014 Soccer World Cup theme this year is ‘All In One Rhythm’, so we will be playing off that as well).

Thank you for helping Armour Up thrive. We could not continue ministering in such a fun & meaningful way without your support, participation, encouragement & service all these years.

With a grateful heart,
Jamie Kraus
