Challenge Up 2014 was a complete success thanks to all who participated and all who volunteered their time! The boys had an unbelievable time playing baseball with friends, hearing about how to live their lives for the Lord, and having a chance to hit against L.A. Dodgers Pitcher Clayton Kershaw. We cannot thank you enough, Armour Up parents, for spending your evening with us and for making a difference in the lives of those in West Dallas and in Africa through Kershaws Challenge.
And speaking of Kershaw…Congratulations to Clayton for receiving his 3rd Cy Young Award this week as well as the National League MVP Award. We secretly think he won because he started out the week with Armour Up. And we now think he’s earned the right to stand next to Drew.
And Marshall.
And every other boy that came to Challenge Up 2014.
We’d also love to thank the following people and companies who made our evening possible:
HP Baseball Coach Travis Yoder, Assistant Coaches & the Scots Baseball Seniors
Eric Nadel, announcer
Caroline Jackson, National Anthem Singer
Challenge Up Committee, Volunteer Moms & Team Dads (several members of these groups are not pictured, but are very appreciated)
Interior Resources (t-shirt sponsor)
Frontier Investments (t-shirt sponsor)
Dallas Pain Consultants (t-shirt sponsor)
Our volunteer photographers & videographers:
Jennifer Whitten, Ann Higginbottom, Paige Sowden, Karen Berry, Rowdy Granado & Carl Domke
Kristin Halsey for our amazing signage
And of course, the KERSHAWS CHALLENGE team!!!

As we bask in the afterglow of such a memorable event, we urge you to revisit the pledges that your son made when they accepted Kershaw’s Challenge. Our hope is that the boys are inspired by all that Clayton is doing with his God given talent and they, in turn, will do something with theirs. We are all gifted in different ways and each of us has a purpose in this life. Let’s work together to discover those gifts and use them to help those in need.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others…” I Peter 4:10
Thank you again for being a part of Armour Up. We cannot WAIT until the summer of 2015!
