Some of our Armour Up team members just recently traveled to Lusaka, Zambia to minister to the beautiful people there.  We were able to deliver the HUGE bags of school supplies that you so generously donated this summer to two schools – Grace Community School and Destiny School.

Your donations help these schools tremendously and we want to convey how appreciative the schools were to receive them.  We even got a thumbs up from these guys.

Please tell your children how a little goes a long way and how great it is for them to help others.

Also, the AU team was able to spend a lot of time with the nine children who live in the ARISE home which is run by the organization ARISE AFRICA (ariseafrica.org).  It’s amazing how children all over the world are the same!  They were so happy to receive their own Armour Up tshirt and wore them proudly!

Lastly, we have an exciting announcement that will be revealed in the next few days about an Armour Up partnership with Clayton and Ellen Kershaw’s organization, Kershaw’s Challenge (kershawschallenge.com), that will help others in need.   Please stay tuned for this amazing opportunity to teach our children the value of putting others first.

This has been an INCREDIBLE summer and we want to thank Will Washington for everything he’s done to make the gospel relevant and known to our boys.   Be on the lookout for another dynamic Armour Up in summer 2015 under his leadership!  In the meantime, Will has accepted a position with Park Cities Baptist Church to be in charge of Interstate 56 (incoming 5th/6th graders).  Congratulations!  Interstate 56 will meet on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30 beginning September 10th (pcbc.org). We would love for your boys to come support Will & learn more about Jesus!

A big thanks also goes to our extraordinary Armour Up committee families: Linder, Sharpe, Wiles, Schuhmacher, Selner, Basso, Benson, Godfrey, Thornton, Sowden, Parkhurst & Kraus.   And a special thanks to Julie Lippman for faithfully printing name tags each week, Kerry McStay for creating our outstanding newsletters, and the Moreland family for faithfully volunteering.  The PCBC staff also deserves a round of applause – Sal, Chris & Zach…you rock!

And we would be remiss not to mention YOU, the parents, for faithfully bringing your children each week to Armour Up.  We appreciate you making it a priority and are grateful for your participation.

Hope to see you all tonight to celebrate a wonderful summer!
