We had a fantastic Wednesday night at Armour Up kicked off with another rousing game of egg roulette with Will & Zach. (Which is really just an excuse to put the kids behind glass and sound proof the adult area. I also can’t help but think this is how the animals feel at the zoo.)
Will presented a great message about what we might need to give up in order to follow Jesus 100%. The kids came up with all kinds of things that might be keeping them from having a strong relationship with the Lord (lying, cheating, using bad language, anger, etc.). None of them came up with smashing eggs on their heads, though. Strange. Will then spoke the good news that we have already been forgiven of all of these sins and that Christ is ready to embrace that relationship today. Speaking of Will…PCBC has offered him a job working with the 5th/6th graders this fall! We already knew he was superman, but are so happy the church figured it out too! Please join us in congratulating Will! We would love for your children to participate in the fall if you don’t already have a church home. He will, of course, be back next summer for Armour Up 2015. More about this soon…
Please note that there will be NO ARMOUR UP on 8/6 or 8/13. Our next (& last) gathering will be on August 20th for our End of Summer Bash. We will meet during the regular times: 4th/5th from 5:30-6:30 and 6th/7th from 6:45-7:45. PLEASE have your children wear their Armour Up ‘ALL IN’ t-shirts.
