There’s this little thing called ‘boy energy’ that is alive and well on Wednesday nights at Armour Up.

And last night was no exception.

Will delivered an amazing message about Joshua.  Please click here to watch a 2 minute recap (if you are viewing this on your phone, the embedded youtube will not work – you will need to click on this link instead).

Games were played and selfies were taken.  Here’s a quick time lapse of the 3rd/4th grade structured game led by Sal Rivas.  If you watch to the very end you’ll see why we pay him the big bucks (#massiveamountsofchildren).

Our AU store was in full force and our youth sizes flew off the shelves!  We will be offering our limited edition “Red, White & AU” shirts next week just in time for the 4th of July. It just so happens that “Red, White & AU” is the theme next week.  We’re clever that way.  ($20/shirt)

Thank you so much for your donations to Arise Africa this month.  We have already shipped some to Zambia and will be sending the remainder in a week or so with the interns who will be making their way to Lusaka in July.  Please take a minute to watch this thank you video clip from 3 of the Arise Africa staff members who were in town a few weeks ago.  You might have to turn up the volume as they were in a noisy area when we filmed. (Again, if you are on your phone this video may not work.  Please click here to see the short clip.)

Our first AU to the movies was a success last Friday.  We saw ‘Inside Out’ at Northpark and had a great turnout.  The boys requested another one, so be on the lookout for possibly a Minions Movie Day in July.

Please mark your calendars for 8/5, 8/12 & 8/19 as we will be meeting at Biggers Gym (5817 Hillcrest) instead of PCBC.  We don’t want to miss you, so please put it in your phone and spread the word!!

Lastly, please make sure you are following us on Facebook, twitter and/or instagram to keep up with our latest news.  (@armourupdallas)

  • Thank you to the Garberding family for providing a HUGE sandwich tray for the AU staff boys.  I think it’s safe to say there wasn’t a crumb left over.
  • Thank you to our parent volunteers and to our student volunteers Matthew McBrayer and Will Whitlock for helping out this week.
  • Thank YOU for encouraging your children to wear their AU t-shirts!  It was incredibly helpful!!!!
  • And thank you to Iron Sharpens Iron, a student led ministry at HPHS, for sponsoring our newsletter this week.  Click AU Newsletter 6.24.15 for a copy, or you can always visit our website newsletter page for previous copies.

We look forward to seeing you next week, July 1st!
