2 weeks and counting…

It’s hard to believe summer is almost here and our first Armour Up will be in just 2 short weeks (Wednesday, June 4th)!  Thank you so much for participating in our program and for believing in our mission.   We have been planning for months and look forward to sharing a very meaningful curriculum (and a WHOLE lot of fun!) prepared by our incredible intern, Will Washington.

Please mark your calendars for Monday, June 2nd from 10am-noon for our first Armour Up t-shirt pick up day.  To avoid the chaos on the first night of AU, we will be passing out t-shirts ahead of time this year.  Pick up will be at 3912 Colgate Avenue behind Hyer Elementary.  This is a come and go, so things should move quickly.  Will Washington will be on hand to meet you and visit about any questions you might have regarding the summer.  If you aren’t able to make it, please have a friend pick up your child’s t-shirt.  The kids will be encouraged to wear their t-shirt on Wednesday nights throughout the summer so it’s important that everyone have a shirt on the first night.

Upcoming Events:

Monday, June 2nd – T-shirt pick up @ 3912 Colgate from 10am-12

Wednesday, June 4th – FIRST Armour Up of 2014

4th/5th – 5:30-6:30pm @ PCBC

6th/7th – 6:45-7:45pm @ PCBC

– Online registration is still open for those interested in joining us!

– Don’t forget to shop our AU store for awesome new gear.  A percentage of the proceeds will go to benefit Kershaw’s Challenge (http://www.kershawschallenge.com).  *Please note the store will close periodically for us to gather orders, but will always re-open within a day or two so keep checking back if it says ‘closed’.

Lastly, Klife is hosting a trip to Hurricane Harbor June 4th from 9:30 to 6:00pm for incoming 5th through 8th grade.  For more information, contact nathan.labuda@klife.com.  Or check here for ticket info. This would be a fun activity to do leading up to the first night of AU!

Looking forward to seeing you all in 2 weeks!

Armour Up,

Jamie Kraus
